How do I sign-up for a Frederick County Public Libraries card?

All Mount students and staff are eligible for an FCPL library card. Use your Mount address and email during registration.

Services available to FCPL cardholders include Kanopy, Libby, LinkedIn Learning, Flipster, hoopla Digital, and more.

Signing up for an FCPL library card is simple:

1. Complete the FCPL digital library card sign-up form.
2. When completing the form, use your Mount email address and university address (16300 Old Emmitsburg Rd, Emmitsburg, MD 21727).
3. Upon submitting the form, you will instantly receive your six-digit library card number. Be sure to save this number somewhere convenient.
4. If you would like to sign up for a physical FCPL card, there are two ways to do this. Note: some FCPL resources (including Kanopy, Freegal Music and LinkedIn Learning) can only be accessed with a physical FCPL card number.
   1. Attend one of the Public Library Pop-up events held about every six weeks on campus.
   2. Stop by the Emmitsburg or Thurmont libraries with your Mount ID card.
