How do I check the status of an interlibrary loan (ILL) request?
Answer
Processing time for interlibrary loans (ILLs) depends on the lending library, but users are able to check in on the status of their requests in our library catalog.
- Select the option to "Sign in" to the library catalog. Mount users are able to do this using Microsoft SSO, so an open instance of MyMount, Canvas, or Mount email may mean that sign-in occurs automatically.
- Select the user name to prompt a menu to open.
- Select "My Requests" to view the status of ILL requests.

Physical requests require shipment from the lending library and typically arrive by USPS. Once they have been processed by our staff, these will move from "My Requests" to "My Loans," even if they have not yet been claimed by the requester.
Digital requests typically arrive as PDFs, for which a download link will be emailed to the Mount email on record. If the email is misplaced, return to "My Requests" to access a direct download link.
